Privacy Policy for Hyrox Race Planner

Introduction

Hyrox Race Planner is a mobile application designed to help athletes plan and optimize their Hyrox race strategy. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains clearly what data is used, how, and why.

Data Storage

Hyrox Race Planner stores data locally on your device only (via AsyncStorage). This includes:

• Your race plans and split targets
• Your saved events (city, date, category, goal time)
• Your app preferences (language, units, default level)

This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server. It is deleted if you use the “Reset data” option in Settings, or if you uninstall the app.

Third-Party Services

Unsplash

When you add an event and enter a city name, the app sends a request to the Unsplash API (unsplash.com) to retrieve a representative photo of that city. This request includes the city name as a search query. Unsplash may log this request in accordance with their own privacy policy, available at: https://unsplash.com/privacy

No personal information is included in this request.

Expo Notifications

If you enable race reminders in Settings, the app uses Expo’s notification service to schedule local notifications on your device. These notifications are generated and triggered locally and do not involve sending personal data to external servers.

Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, or any identifying information
• We do not use analytics or crash reporting tools
• We do not track your location
• We do not share any data with third parties beyond what is described above
• We do not require an account or login

Advertising

The app currently does not display any advertisements.

Children’s Privacy

Hyrox Race Planner does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
